Prepare For Good Backup Strategy

We do daily work with computer. After several time the computer will be have a lot of data, but sometime end user does not aware about how important having backup of all the important data. Some user regret when the computer fail or when they can't access their data.
Maybe for some people especially who know little about computer, will be aware about backup system for important data, but many people don't know about this. After we explain how important backup data, then they will find out how to backup.
Microsoft Windows already have backup software included when we install a new computer. At Microsft Windows XP Home Edition, the backup utility is not installed automatically, at the same installation CD, we have to choose an option to install the backup utility at Windows XP.
This is the step how to install Windows XP backup utility:
- Insert Windows XP installation CD into the CD drive.
- We have to stop autorun by Click on Exit.
- Go to folder at d:ValueAddMsftNtbackup on the CD. (d: is only sample)
- Run Ntbackup.msi by double-click the files to install the Backup utility.
- After the Backup or Restore Wizard show, then click Finish.
Even we get backup utility when we purchase Windows XP, but some people doesn't like use default Windows XP backup utility. If we want to get more for backup strategy for our data, we can choose 3th party software either freeware or shareware. For freeware I prefer using Cobian Backup. This is free and complete features for backup. 3th party backup utility usually have features such as Incremental Backups or Full backup strategy, we can choose which one is better to use.
