Using Microsoft Windows sometime if we do not careful will easy to attach by some malware, spyware and something like that. Usually the infected Windows computer have some unknown startup progress. The startup process  can contain the malware or virus it self to start together when the computer restart. For this problem, the Microsoft Windows user have to completed the computer with a special program which can detect and remove the unwanted startup process. One of the programs that can be used for completed the Microsoft Windows computer is HijackThis.

What is HijackThis?

HijackThis is a small program that can help Microsoft Windows user to watch the startup process. HijackThis software is free software. The first created by personal programmer, he is Merijn Bellekom, the antispyware observer. The HijackThis software is really help so much for Microsoft Windows user, then many user download and install this software to their computer. HijackThis will scan the registry of Microsoft Windows and also scan the system settings, the result will be show after the HijackThis finish scanning job. Because today there are so many spyware and malware around the network and removeable media such as flashdisk, it is really recommended to install this software. I think HijackThis is not easy to understand for every Microsoft Windows enduser, so becareful to use this software. If you are not sure about something, do not make any change of HijackThis result. Better to ask for some experience user to make it more powerfull to your computer.

Quick Start Using HijackThis

After installed HijackThis at Windows Computer, run the software.
At the Main Menu, choose “Do a system scan and save a log file”, then the software will scan the registry and startup process, it will show the process list with option to check if we want to delete the process. Be careful for doing this if you don't know what to do.
After check the process which want to delete, continue with click the “Fix Checked”, than HijackThis will show a popup confirmation window to make sure for delete the process. After click Yes, than the checked process will be removed permanently from the registry or startup list.
